Dating back to the late 1980s, Karakas began life as a beloved underground cellar bar — a hidden gem of warm candlelight and a legendary rose ceiling, created by its first owner, a Mexican artist known as El Diablo. Over time, the bohemian nightlife spirit evolved into a cozy event hub, truly taking off in the 2010s. Today, Karakas brings together international communities through a diverse lineup of events. We host stand-up comedy and pub quizzes to karaoke, live music and much more!
